I’m an actress and theatre maker raised in Sicily and I trained in Italy, Spain and Germany.
I graduated in Physical Theatre at Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Madrid, spending one year of study at Folkwang Universität der Künste in Essen.
I trained in Schools as Estudio Corazza para el Actor in Madrid and Paolo Grassi Milan.
I collaborate as performer and co-creator with several international companies (Conde de Torrefiel, Blitz, Societas, Sud Costa Occidentale, Armada, Amedias, Spotha, Accidental Company). I worked as director assistant of Emma Dante and as creative assistant in Societas Raffaello Sanzio, following the vocal research and pedagogical work of Chiara Guidi.
I research in theatre pedagogy, working as theatre teacher in collaboration with private and public institutions (Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Anffas Ragusa, SSlimit School of Bolonia University, Casa delle Maschere Ragusa associated with School of Normodynamics Periagogé).
I wrote the article "nSicilia: movimiento en lugar limitado" above the gestural dramaturgy in Emma Dante's piece "mPalermu", published in the specialized Journal Acotaciones RESAD n41 dedicated to Theatre and Feminism.
I co-founded and co-direct Moveosofia an educational project which unites theatre and philosophy to improve learning process, by integrating body, imagination and emotion.
Moveosofía has won the Creative Business Studio of Impact Hub Madrid between 20 national startup project, the prize of Citofonare PimOFF and it has been selected for Presente Futuro Festival 2019.
Moveosofia is part of the Kunst Kollective Berlin, a group of interdisciplinary artist and pedagogy practictioners, and the project Kunst In Klass Utrecht.
I lead in Madrid "Let's get physical" a regular open training in physical theatre to strenghten creativity and expression by movement and body.
My work's main focus is researching in physical theatre as practical tool to embody empathy, freedom and critical view.
